Saturday, March 13, 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Hyatt Regency Sacramento

Test Proctor

· Monitor a group of participants while they take timed written exams.
· Distribute and collect test materials to assigned participants.
· Maintain order/optimum testing conditions.

· Attend mandatory orientation session held on morning of event.

· Read materials.

Saturday, March 13, 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Hyatt Regency Sacramento

General Saturday Assistance

· Assist where needed at Hyatt Regency Sacramento.

· Attend mandatory orientation session held on morning of event.

Sunday, March 14, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Hyatt Regency Sacramento

Essay Reader

· Evaluate participant essays in accordance with predetermined set of criteria.

   

· Study rubric and other materials sent prior to event.
·
Attend mandatory orientation training for Essay Readers.
·
Read and evaluate essays.

Sunday, March 14, 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. CSU Sacramento

Speech/ Interview Rotation Official

· Ensure that participants adhere to the established time schedule.

· Direct participants to and from speech and interview rooms.

· Keep halls clear of unauthorized persons.

· Attend mandatory orientation session held on morning of event.

· Pick up packet at registration.

Speech Judge

· Judge prepared and impromptu speeches with two other judges, using guidelines provided.
·
Ensure that participants are in the correct room.
·
Ensure that participant enters/leaves room at scheduled time.

· Attend mandatory orientation for judges on day of event.

·Read materials sent prior to event.

·Pick up packet at registration.

   

Interview Judge

· Conduct structured interviews (with 2 other judges) for approximately 20 participants.

· Evaluate each participant’s performance in accordance with predetermined criteria.

· Attend mandatory orientation for judges on day of event.

· Read materials prior to event.

· Pick up packet at registration.

General Sunday Assistance

· Assist where needed during the Speech & Interview Competition.

· Attend mandatory orientation session held on morning of event.

Sunday, March 14, 3:45 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. Memorial Auditorium

Super Quiz Proctor

· Monitor one school’s team of participants.

· Correct participant’s answer sheets.

· Attend mandatory orientation on day of event.

Super Quiz Assistant

· Assist where needed at Super Quiz event.

· Attend mandatory orientation on day of event.
